I moved up to Alaska in 2019 already looking forward to coming to this studio and it did not disappoint. The owner, Erin, is one of the most dedicated, hardworking, and caring people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting.
The community here is super welcoming and encouraging. There is a wide variety of classes offered and the instructors are all such delights. I only wish I had more time to take more classes.
Whether you’re brand new to pole or a seasoned dancer, Cathedral will welcome you with open arms, meet you where you’re at, and help you grow. Highly recommend checking this place out – see you there!

I came to Cathedral in the fall of 2021. It took me almost a whole year to get my butt in the door for fear of looking stupid trying a new thing as an adult. But a friend finally offered to go together and I signed up for my first Intro class! Intro was much less scary than I pictured in my head. All of the moves were truly accessible to a beginner and there were tons of variations on moves offered to suit every body type and ability.

Fast forward to two years later, and pole has become such a treasured and rewarding part of my life. The community I have found here has brought so much support and encouragement to both my pole practice and my personal life.

As a plus sized person, I have rarely felt totally comfortable in fitness spaces. Because of the environment Erin has intentionally curated, I can say that Cathedral is the first place I have felt not only comfortable and safe, but truly celebrated for the body I inhabit.

Pole has done so much to heal my relationship with my body, challenge me to try new things, and provide an outlet for self expression through dance.

I love it here and I never want to leave!
